Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy is the treatment used for sunspots (solar keratosis) and occasionally very shallow skin cancers or other benign lesions.

Cryotherapy is also known as cryosurgery, freezing or liquid nitrogen.
Liquid nitrogen is sprayed onto the skin for 1 to 5 seconds depending on the thickness of the lesion and the location on your skin.

Metvix & Aldara

Photo Dynamic Therapy (PDT) is a non-invasive, proven therapy as an alternative to surgery for non-melanoma skin cancers such as Actinic Keratosis, Bowens Disease, and certain types of Basal Cell Carcinoma’s.

Studies with PDT consistently show advantages in cosmetic outcomes compared with conventional treatments. Ask your doctor for more information about these types of therapy.

Effudix

The active ingredient of Efudex is 5 – Fluorouracil and is best thought of as a chemotherapy “anticancer” cream.
Efudex is mainly used in the treatment of Actinic Keratoses, a precancerous skin condition it is also used for Bowen’s Disease – an extremely superficial form of SCC and severely sun damaged skin.
